We are very pleased with our decision to purchase a CEI Model 130-16EX rewinder this past December. We had a continuous backlog in rewind running three Arpeco Trackers with 5 employees on two shifts. We were contemplating hiring another employee, but instead bought the CEI. It literally does the work of two or more of the Arpeco Trackers. With the machine running at 1800 fpm, it gets our larger jobs done in half the time or less. We reduced our backlog to keep up with the presses and were able to move one employee over to the press department from finishing. It has been great to work with Simon and the folks at CEI and we will definitely make our next purchase with them.

You know how I feel about your machines, if you want to share this with other people that is no problem. I not only like you as a person, we like your family, your company and its products. In the last three years we have purchased two rewinders and a digital die cutter/rewinder from you. With each purchase of the new machine we were able to eliminate two legacy rewinders. Which allowed us to pay for rewinders with saved labor cost in less than two years. Not to mention the increased production achieved on the new machines which we run at 1600 feet per a minute, and we do run them that fast. We plan on getting another in the near future to continue the increased production and the lower labor costs.

We purchased our CEI rewind slitter to slit very long length thin gauge films. It is one of the few machines we have that runs at full speed. It has been a versatile investment that performs well with "less than perfect" input materials. The training provided was effective and "stuck" with the operators.

For the past 10 years, we've been using a PIC 100 slitter/rewinder. About 6 years ago we bought a pre-owned Arpeco Tracker, both machines were somewhat complicated to setup and everytime I hired a new operator it took at least 1 full day of training and babysitting. Both the PIC and the Arpeco had a great deal of difficulty handling perforated or very narrow webs. Simon from CEI had been trying to sell me the new CEI slitter for at least 2 years. What sealed the deal was my trip to LabelExpo - when I saw the precision of the servo drives combined with the simple graphical user interface, I knew the CEI was the right machine for us. The excellent price was just the icing on the cake. I was able to train my operators on the CEI in less than 15 minutes, and within 1 hour they were running jobs without supervision. As my business continues to grow, I will continue to buy CEI slitter/rewinders exclusively.

I spoke with our operators this week regarding the new CEI inspection machine. They said that out of the all the inspection machines they operate, the CEI machine is the quietest and easiest to use. That's significant considering our other machines are well known "Brand" name machines - one machine was installed within weeks of the CEI machine at a much higher cost and has had multiple warranty issues. We haven't had any problems with the CEI machine, service was very good, and the operators really like it.
